Re: Junior's Desserts?

[ Edited ]

They are on the back page of this week's Publix flyer.  Was surprised this morning to see them.

Try Goldbelly website.  They do have juniors and so much more.  I have always received items on time and in great condition.

The ones sold at big box stores are made atJuniors but they are not and cannot be as fresh so it does have an effect on the taste!  I have tried the one's sold at Walmart,  It's like the day old bakery items at bakeries  -  definitely not as good as fresh and OFTEN  pre frozen before shipped and have  set around many days before bbeing shipped and before displaying and selling!!  Not the same but still pretty good.

Haven't gotten them in years, but they're notstalgic thinking about them. We used to enjoy them at my mom's on Christmas Eve...she always bought them on Q. Along with those Lobster Tails. Many a Christmas Eve good memory.

A little goes a long way with cheesecake, so I rarely order it in restaurants, unless I'm going to split it; those Junior's mini cheesecake varieties are delish, and the perfect amount.

Thanks for the reply.  I was hoping to see something fancier for the holidays. The downside is that all their desserts are incredibly expensive now but my family enjoys them.  I don't mind spending a little extra for the holidays for quality.

EVERYthing is crazy expensive in our state of CT, foodwise...restaurants, groceries.

My sticker shock for this week....I like pomegranates, pain as they are to get the seeds out. Got one at Aldi the other day for only around $1.89, good size, good quality looking.

Saw same size/look at my local farm market up the road where everything is outrageous but it's a gold mine, as people come from far & wide to shop there, as it's one of those farm markets with events, pumpkin picking, hay rides. I like the store, I buy some produce there, and prepared foods when I don't feel like cooking...I don't mind spending on that, fair prices not to cook.

That said....same pomegranate there was $5.99! 6 dollars for one small pomegranate is crazy to me. They used to be about $3.99 each there. As my mom used to say..."they can keep it!" I need to go buy another at Aldis!

I've also seen the mini Junior cheesecakes at Costco.  Costco also sells a plain Junior cheesecake at times.  I've seen those around holidays.  Publix also sells a small version.  Right now tt's BOGO.  It's a good size for just me and my husband.  I'll be getting some today.

Kroger & Walmart. The best for me is The Cheese Cake Factory. The prices, thru the ceiling!
