It's important to point out that they provide food and assistance in the US as well. I really feel that I can't go wrong donating to this group.

@shoesnbags   I believe they went to Jackson MS earlier this month.

In addition to thousands of meals they provided or 100,000 gallons of water. They set up tankers at schools.

He and his volunteers do amazing work.

@ellaphant

I think you may have meant the Nobel Peace Prize ... and yes, he deserves that award.

I think what he and his organization have done and continue to do, to help people all over the globe, is amazing and so uplifting. My family donates to his organization and one of my daughter-in-laws has organized charity events to raise money for his cause.

Yes, they did.  That's when I realized that they also work in the US.

Re: Jose Andres, And The World Kitchen.....

this very quickly became one of my favorite charities to donate to when the hurricane hit in puerto rico. i already knew who celebrity chef jose andres was and had eaten at some of his restaurants, but i had no idea how "on the ground" he was with his charity until five years ago. this organization has actually been around feeding people around the world since 2010. he really is an inspiration and a true humanitarian.
