My office email is getting hit with emails asking that I update deposit info for employee xxxxx to xxxx@xxx, effective with the next pay period.

I just Report and Delete or reply STOP.  Simple.

I don't get a lot of these but, the latest couple I've gotten have been at odd hours, with an innocuous message.

The one I got a few days ago said "Have you got a few minutes to talk?"  Well, not to someone I don't know!  I just hit delete.

I can also blocklist anyone with my texting app, so I do that.  I never, ever reply to any of these, even to tell them to stop.  That just means they've hit on an active number.

@Bri369 Yes it is simple to block, report & delete when I get a few a week.  However when it becomes multiple times a day it gets a bit annoying.

This morning I have received three before 9am.

Blocking doesn't stop them.  They keep muliplying and creating new numbers.

It is annoying.  Unfortunately, there's really nothing more you can do about it.  Hopefully, they'll ease up or stop.

There are probably thousands upon thousands of scammers out there and we're all going to be the recipient at one point or another, unfortunately.

I wish I only got three annoying emails before 9am.

Some days I can get over 100 in a day.  Some are scam, some are obviously from having my email sold or stolen.

I just block the senders and they go straight to my trash folder.  No way am I going to respond by unsubscribing.

But it's irritating.  Much worse than junk snail mail.

@geezerette I also get hundreds of annoying emails a day .  Some are legit but many are scams too.  I ignore.  However those texts on my phone just feel more invasive to me.

Since I've been reporting them as I delete them, my scam texts have decreased dramatically.
