HBO's mini series was really good, and received a ton of Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and wins. I really liked the mini series, but, of course, the original 'Mildred Pierce' is the best. I never get tired of watching it!

it was very well done and followed the book much more closely than the original movie did.

Mildred Pierce is certainly a great movie, but the story really ticks me off. I always want to just smack that spoiled brat daughter, though it was mom who spoiled her in the first place.

I watched her last night and earlier this week in the original ""The Women"" with Norma Shrearer. That one is my favorite.

Kittykatkay, I enjoyed both versions of Mildred Pierce. The Kate Winslet was darker I think, but they did the period stuff beautifully-I enjoy that. I think it's worth a watch!
