Hi Vabelle, You have a valid point as far as spacing vaccines but the idea of Autism being directly linked to them has been disproven.
Or has it. Maybe for what we 'know' as of now. Always possible that today's best science is not all knowing.

This is one of those subjects that shouldn't be based on a point of view.
It should be based on science and evidence.
Oy, again with the science. That same science that is constantly changing, evolving, and proving itself wrong at times? That science? OK, then let's do that.

@icezeus wrote:I actually enjoyed Jim in the early days. I was a fan of the TV show "In Loving Color" and several of his earlier movies were very entertaining. Then they just became silly, IMO.
With that said, I was watching the news this morning and I heard about his tweet, I just had to shake my head. I think it's highly irresponsible for people/celebrities to make those kinds of statements, without stating the true facts.
I am from California, so perhaps the whole issue bothered me a little more.
We have to ask what are the 'true facts'? Are they going to be the same tomorrow, as science does change and evolve? Are those facts based in any way or chance in political power, money, or any other integrity corrupting way?

Aren't we gullible to believe that if the FDA approves something, then it's safe. Oddly, when a mother says that her child became "ill" immediately after their vaccine, we are to believe there is no correlation?
A voice of reason and common sense. Refreshing. Thanks

Becoming ill is not always a reaction....it is the degree of "sick" or "ill". Irritability, low grade fever, local reaction or a slight cough is an expected side effect and subsides spontaneously ....a severe reaction is always investigated if a health care provider reports it and he/she must....there are very few severe reactions to vaccines....or at the time, the child may have a cold and a parent doesn't mention it and it does happen; as a nurse I have seen it.
Let's not consider that there may be 'reactions' on down the line, or unnoticed at the time, that make the vaccines less perfect than the seem on the surface, at this time.

Correlation means that two things occur at or about the same time. It DOES NOT mean one thing caused the other.
I prefer the definition of correlation on dictionary.com. And, that would be a starting point for investigation and questioning, two things occuring at the same time, but heavens, don't question.
