Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

@Carolina925  I live in South Carolina...we've had some unusually cold days! Our property is very wooded, and I learned a long time ago to enjoy the beauty of winter-bare trees. The view from my windows is very different this time of year...and I have a much better view of the small lake we live on when the leaves are gone.

I very much dislike summer heat and humidity.

Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

January weather has been up and down...70 degress and the next day 40 and/or rain. Crazy!!! Usually Feb. and March have been our coldest months. If we get get or ice, these are the months it occurs.

Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

This month went by really fast to me.......It has been a mild winter so far in Southeastern Wisconsin, with the exception of a few very very cold days!!! We have had some snow, but nothing like in winters past....

I am looking forward to Spring, and I like Summer too, but dislike the really humid days!!! I don't mind Winter, unless there is a lot of snow and ice....

Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

I don't mind the winter, not even January but I understand in many places including where I am winter does last quite awhile.   Everyday we get a bit closer to Spring, we're having a chilly week here but it's supposed to be nice and sunny for most of it, so that will be nice Smiley Happy   At least I am getting to wear my winter wardrobe!

Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

This January it's been unusually snowy and cold where I live too.  It's also been incredibly stressful for me.  I'll be glad when winter is behind us.  Hopefully February will bring better things for all here.😊💝💕

Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

@vermint , I've lived in SC for most of my 70+ years and never get used to our heat and humidity in the summer. Last summer with 90-100 degrees for over a month at a time almost did me in. Usually, we have some very nice livable temperatures in the summer with only a few he!! hot days sprinkled in. I hope we don't have a repeat or I'll be hibernating.

I hate January.  It's endless, cold and dark.  Just came back from a week in Las Vegas and I think next year we'll go earlier and stay longer!!!

Central Florida went from a record high got January, 85 degrees, to 40 degrees overnight!

That's January in Florida!

May be an image of text that says 'FLORIDA I'm ready for the week! I got my umbrella, my flip flops, turtle neck, my suntan lotion, my fur coat, my shades, my thermals, my tank top, and my Vick's!'

Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

I like January.  Sort of a lull before getting annuals in.  Been raining for a couple weeks but back to the 50s during the day.  A quiet time of year.

Re: January 31st—Finally!!!

I can bear the cold; it's the endless dark, bleak, sunless days that sadden and depress me.

I just celebrated a birthday and couldn't wait for it to come and go Smiley Wink

Every February 1st, I tell myself we only have so much more of this to bear. It makes it a bit easier.

Wishing you all warming sun wherever you live.
