James Franco Hosting Oscars Tonight: SF Bay Area Boy Makes Good!

Not long ago on VPS, I was talking about James Franco and a lot of people didn't know who he was. I'm thinking that after tonight that won't be true {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I love this guy! He's from a close knit family in Palo Alto. His mom is an author and a poet that dabbles in community theater, AND is a fan of the Soap, The Young And The Restless.

As a surprise for his mom, he got a part in the soap with the proviso she get a small bit, also. I hear it was a big hit.

Currently, he's also a PhD student at Yale.
