Oh Ms Krimpette, every time I see a post by you I think of krimpets.  Now I know why!!!!  I LOVE these little tasty cakes!

When I was a very little girl, born & bred in NJ.  Just down the road where we lived was a great little grocery store, Gentile's Market.  We'd find krimpets there wrapped individually in waxed paper.  They didn't have them often but when they did, I would always HAD to have some.  Of course Mom gave in.  Could  not wait to get home to eat them.  Love your handle!

And Ms Preds, very funny of someone thinking of prednisone.  I laughed outloud!

I'm continuing to come back to this forum to read about everyone.  So very FUN!!!!

I love books and am a total bookwoman. My favorite author is Edith Wharton. Edith comes from the author's first name. Ellen comes from the inimitable Countess Ellen Olenska in The Age of Innocence, my favorite novel of all time. Lily comes from Lily Bart in The House of Mirth. Thus, EdithEllenLily. Although I have a nickname that comes from my nickname. One day stevieb @stevieb called me EEL and it stuck, much to my amusement.

I have a miniature dachshund named Peanut and he is my world!  So that's where the

name doxielover came from.

Thanks for those sweet (pardon the pun) comments about my nickname.  And Lulu......I know what you mean about the icing.....it was almost disappointing if it did NOT stick to the wrapper!!!!!!  (Since my father was a route man, I was just about born and raised on Tasty Kakes!!!).

A friens dad called me that name when about 16. I never heard of Laura or her books.
