"Extra" is an expression that means "over the top".  I don't think she cares if anyone likes it, as she is dressing for her job and the event.  Her goal was to get noticed and get people talking, which she has done.  She knows exactly what she is doing.

Yes, saying something is ‘extra’ is not agreeing or disagreeing

nor liking or disliking...it’s just an observation.

I do have admiration for any woman who can beautifully wear

the slick back, tight hair in a bun look.  The Kardashian/Jenner 

women, as well as Jennifer Lopez, are famous for that.

Not too many women can pull that look off...or they’re too insecure 

to be photographed like that.

What in the world? There's no winning for losing here when it comes to certain celebs. This was Jennifer's movie. Of course she's making a grand entrance. It's fashion for goodness sake. She's pretty well covered up too.  Bet if this thread were over in Fashion you'd get some interesting comments. Here you get judgements on Jennifer's level of class and how many men she's been with.

this is JLO......she knows how to create a look that people love talking about and she nailed it. it looks totally JLO. not for everyone, but totally appropriate for her and for the occasion.
