Today was the hottest day this early in Summer here in St. Louis in 71 yrs. I believe the weatherman said It's also the hottest day ever @ 103 !  What's it like where you are ?  It's suppose to storm overnight but we are getting a little rain now, bringing the temp down now to 83. Big cool down  right ?

Woman LOL  Stay cool everyone

We are heading to almost 100 degrees here tomorrow in Atlanta. 🥵

And my office has no AC due to construction. I told my GM when I left today that if I burst into flames at my desk, he'll know by the ashes left on the floor. 🔥

I swear I high fived Satan on my way in today and will probably do it again when I grab the mail tomorrow.

We are going through a heat wave, a very hot and humid uncomfortable heat wave.  We did have one day of cool breezes which was such a welcome relief.  I do not like hot and humid weather, it zaps me of energy and makes me grumpy!!!!  However, It is summer and Fall isn't far off.  For now it's take it easy and be  thankful for the AC.  I take it day to day.

It'll be a long heatwave.  Certainly over 2 weeks before it's over.  Nasty day tomorrow. Flirting with 100F.  The rest of the week and all of next week, it will average 90F plus. An equally nasty thunderstorm tomorrow and in the week will not bring relief. That's what I really hate.  It makes the humidity worse.

My outdoor thermometer today in the shade was at 98' today in Colorado Springs. Not a record-breaker but close enough.

Re: It's Too Hot !!

[ Edited ]

Here in Lincoln, Nebraska it is 101. It's not exactly a record breaker for here, but still oppressive. Early this morning I finished trimming our backyard after mowing yesterday. I then ran some errands.

Now I'm defying the heatwave, dreaming of the dreaded F-word in air conditioning and having a tall mug of hot pumpkin spice black coffee... Smiley Very Happy

ETA: We were just put in a severe T-storm watch for tonight. We could REALLY use the rain...of coarse w/o the severe winds/large hail, etc.

Currently there is a severe T-storm near Omaha with BASEBALL size hail!

In upstate New York it was in the high 80s until Monday. The high was 62. Today back in the low 80s but very low humidity so it is quite lovely.

Unfortunately, at work, the company who controls the a/c is over 2 hours away. They blasted it all day and my classroom was 58..

@Laura14

You have my permission to call in sick. In fact I think the whole operation just should shut down. That seems inhumane.

It's been in the upper 90s here for some time as well.  Mom and I have had to travel for drs appointments on three if the hottest days so far.  It always makes me nervous, especially for folks with no air conditioning.❤️

It made it up to 108 degrees in Lenexa, Kansas.  Definitely time to hibernate.  Smiley Happy
