@781Florist  It is good to be home!! I very much appreciate your homecoming as I, too, spent exactly the same amount of days as yourself inpatient physical rehab (plus 2 weeks hospitalized). Mine was two broken hips, shattered patella. Also different my phone became my best friend. My GD talked me into setting up Facebook and between that and the Boards here were very helpful and really helped to pass the time.
Can't wait until you can report on those daily walks. Me, not so much - too hot here in Texas (at least that's the excuse I use - ha) but I will get in the pool and PT says that's helpful. Continued success on your recovery and to your homecoming.

Glad it went well, although it took time.  Always good to back in your own bed and chairs.  Food tastes better too.

I wish you a very speedy recovery my dear.  It's great to have something to look forward to and I hope you enjoy your walks and that you have beautiful weather for your outings.  I just came inside from my evening walk and loved it.   Hoping the same for you.

A very heartfelt thank you to everyone who extended such kind thoughts and wishes.  When I discovered this board I

had no idea that it would be not only a source of information but also a community of "friends never met" who can laugh, squabble, get in the occasional (and pretty funny!) digs, but mostly prove that people are kind of wonderful when left to their own devices!

Welcome back to the forums! Sounds like your procedure went well and you are on the path to recovering. Something like taking a walk we can take for grated until we are not able to do it. Hers to walking and hiking as much as you like in the future. In the meantime, please jump right back into our forums.
