We had almost an inch of rain last night at the house.

It is a gift. What a relief! It won't make up for the drought, but at least some plants got a drink.

Some rain here, too. It snowed up in the mountains, so that was nice to see. It was 38 degrees here when I got up, so a bit warm for snow.

I'm glad you received some much needed rain! I'm not in a drought region but I can imagine how difficult it must be to have to conserve water and constantly watch your consumption.

My son at Tahoe was awaiting snow yesterday, family in the bay and city said it poured most of the day.

I would gladly give you some of Seattle's rain. Even though we had a glorious spring and summer, very dry, this is the wettest October we have had and the year itself has been one of the wettest. Right now their biggest concern is possible land slides due to over saturation.

We only got 1/4 of an inch, but at least it was something.

We have plants in the front yard that come up in June/July, and they just popped up and blossomed! Everyone has been letting their foliage go, so this was a nice little drink for all things green and growing Smile

"Little" is right! I wish we could get just one day and night of real rain, as what we have been having lately is pathetic, not enough to do anything any good. Trees and shrubs are suffering around here.

We ended up with 3/4"" of rain overnight. I just hope it's a sign of things to come. We need it so badly.

On the other hand it's going to be about 85 degrees by the end of next week. UGH!!
