@Anonymous032819Your post was right on time!
I went to my banks drive-in. The teller had a mask on talking to me through the tv screen. I asked her why she was wearing a mask if she was the only person inside the tiny room?
She responded, the same reason you are driving around inside a car by yourself w/a mask on!
Touché!!!!!!

A week ago I needed to go into the bank. I asked the teller how they feel about everyone wearing masks, and if that causes any angst as to whether or not one of those people might be a robber. And he said yes, that they all are a little leery.
He needed to ask me for my ID for the transaction I was doing, and I said: "How would you know that is me if I have a mask on." ha!

@Anonymous032819 Many, many years ago, I was a bank teller and was robbed. The guy that robbed me did not wear a mask. So don't be fooled into thinking that all bank robbers wear masks.

Just think how wierd it was for the employees to feel safe with everyone coming in with a mask on.

It's always best to keep looking for a job even though u have one or more interviews set up. There's so much competition for each job --- it takes a lot of interviews before being hired. Sometimes the person interviewing actually knows who they're going to hire - even though they keep interviewing. Sometimes it's a person who already works for the company - or could be a friend of a friend.
I would not expect companies to mail a letter or send an email explaining that they've hired someone else - and they'll keep my resume on file.
Are there temp jobs that u could take?? Many times they turn into full-time jobs.
Good Luck --- persistence always pays off!!!

The lobby of my bank is still closed and each lane at the drive up very long wait time plus when speaking to the teller over the loud speaker your conversation can be heard by everyone. I never liked that even during non pandemic days. I called my local branch and was able to make an appointment. They took down my name and told me which door to meet them at to let me in. My husband and I both wore our mask as did they. Our transaction was not something I wanted others to be aware of by overhearing on the loud speaker outside if you catch my drift....
All the bank staff were wearing blue jeans and tee shirts. ![]()

I had to make an appointment to go into the bank to talk to someone. They gave away masks and social distanced. I was still uncomfortable. Today I went to Publix Supermarket only because my 2nd Shingles Vaccine was due. I took a chance, the pharmacist stood as far from me as he could and we both had masks on. When I got home, I stripped and took a shower, washed m clothes.
I was upset when I was in Publix. because of the people who did not wear masks. Many did not have masks on. I thought "how selfish" I live in Florida nad in the last 2 days, we have had almost 10,000 more cases of the Corona Virus.

Credit Union began allowing ppl inside last week. They rotate someone that is posted at the door and the long counter only has 2 tellers working. The person at the door is kind of like the aircraft control - holds the line up until one of the two customers leaves.

I can't even remember the last time I was inside a bank. It might have been when I needed to have something notarized a year or so ago. Everything else is directly deposited online for me or the drive-through window. I think the lobby is partially open now with certain restrictions/precautions.
