It Was Weird Going Inside a Bank Today

I needed to take care of some business, so I stopped by my bank today.

It was weird to be inside a bank and wearing a mask!

Not so long ago, if someone walked in to a bank wearing a mask, they were looked at as a potential bank robber.

Now, it's the socially responsible thing to do.

Still, it felt weird to wear one inside a bank.

The Sky looks different when you have someone you love up there.

OMG I remember the warning signs around Halloween to not come in with a mask. Guess those are now trash.

It's nice you can go into the bank now. I think my bank is still closed (lobby) with only drive-thru window open to customers.

btw and off-topic but did you ever hear back from the place you interviewed?

Since I wear a mask inside every commercial establishment, I don't feel weird wearing a mask in a bank. I don't associate mask-wearing with bank robbery, any more than I feel like a surgeon when I have my mask on. It's just a mask I wear to protect other people's health.

But, yes, I'd feel pretty uncomfortable bringing a gun and a demand note into a bank while I'm wearing my mask. Might be very suspicious...

I agree! I have had that same feeling, but I’m so glad and grateful that everyone is adhering to best practices!

No, I did not.

I sent the interviewer an email thanking him for his time, and that I looked forward to hearing from him, but never heard back.

How hard is it to let someone know that they didn't get the job?

To me, it's only respectful.

@Laura14 Maybe it's where I live but I have never seen a Halloween mask look like a Doctor or nurses mask. Unless of course I was dressed as such.

@Anonymous032819 It was his loss not hiring you. And yes he could have nicely told you he did choose someone else. You are both adults and it is just business. I figure he felt so bad because you were so nice...he just did not know how to tell you.
