We are cooking in central TX. Triple digits for the next week, or so, up to 105.

I could handle these temps better, if it would cool down some at night, but at 01:00 this morning, it was still 90.

Lots of heat advisories. My AC is running far too much to try to keep up with it. It's an older unit and finger's crossed that it can handle it.

This is killer heat. Oh, and we're also in an extended drought, with water restrictions. So much plant life has died. Fun times here.

We deal with it the same way people who are freezing and have snow. We stay inside from May to September. Our happy time is late September to May. The rest of the year we hibernate. Finally our time will be here in another 6 weeks or so.

baltimore area......storms on the way this evening they say.

looks like we are going to be in the mid 70s during the day in the middle of the week with temperatures in the 50s during the evenings. back in the 80s next weekend.

cannot wait for some real autumn temperatures that stick!

Right now we are having a thunderstorm and heavy rain, which we need. Looks like temps will be in the low 70's to high 80's into next week with lows in the low 50's to high 60's. @CrazyKittyLvr2 , are you getting storms up your way?

@Meowingkitty I can only speak to PA winters. If tere is no ice or bad wind chill we can dress for cold weather and go out and about, we are not stuck inside.

We only had a total of 12inches of snow last winter. I use a cane when I go out and even I was able to venture out.

Once a snowfall is plowed and shovled you can go about your business.

There are times we get stuck inside for while but normally we are not house bound from November until March or April.
