Tansy, I didn't know you had your knee done. Hope you feel better soon.

Gazelle, good luck with your hip.

Yes, on 9/15. So glad to have this one done, too. I'll be happier in a few weeks--lol. Don't want to hijack this thread.
Oh Tansy, feel free to hijack it! Poster Sunela ruined it already with her snarky post.....

gazelle77, I wonder how you spoke to the customer support representative. Were you polite and pleasant, or were you like you act here?

nice{#emotions_dlg.sneaky}...... we mirror those we see fault with... think about it Sunala and THINK before you hold judgements on others... as they will also judge YOU.

Oh please, you're the one who's always posting that you speak what's on your mind and don't hold back, even if it's negative. That doesn't work in your favor when you're trying to get someone in customer service to do something nice for you. It also doesn't work in your favor anywhere else in life, including message boards.

I don't even know what the heck your reply means.

You could have just asked me how I spoke to the CS person.....not turned the post into bashing me. That was uncalled for. I have nothing against you. It just seemed snarky to say it that way.

Re: Issue with not receiving an order

Both FedEx and UPS have a lower class of service that delivers to your local post office and they do the final delivery. Since so many people complain about the cost of shipping, this is one way to lower those costs.

As for packages showing as being delivered but not received by the buyer, I had that happen a couple of times. Never blamed the vendor, though, since they did everything they could to get the package to me. No, the problem was with the carrier. And, yes, I did go around and ask my neighbors about it. Found one of them, too.

Re: Issue with not receiving an order

I have had that happen to me a few times. The CS calls UPS, they track it down. A couple times they sent package out right away, and asked if it showed up to send back. Another time they made me wait a bit while they tracked it.

All packages said they were delivered to my front door. One time...you will not believe this the package showed up 3.5 months later!! The postmark was July, and here it was Halloween! The mailman delivered it. The other times they delivered the packages to my house number, wrong street.

One time I sent a package that was never delivered. Luckily I had sent UPS and it was insured. UPS said it went to the totally wrong city. Never found it. They refunded me the 100 dollars. Took 8 weeks. The item was an irreplaceable vintage bag

Re: Issue with not receiving an order

I ordered a dvd set from a seller at Amazon Sept 2 and it was shipped the 4th and the delivery date was the 9th to today usually I get what I order within a few days after it ships but I never did get it the seller claims that it was scanned in Georgia early Thursday morning if that was the case I would have received it the first of the week. I don't know if the post office lost it or delivered it to someone else and they kept it or the seller is doing a con on me she's suppose to be tracking it down for me.

Why didn't your neighbor return it back to the USPS? It was not their mail? Were they going to keep it if you did not go knocking on strange doors? I just find it odd that the receiver of a paid for item is now responsible for finding a miss delivered package. They should have the person sign for it when it is delivered....having me sign for it would fix the problem for good. I would pay more for better service.

Re: Issue with not receiving an order

So you'd be willing to pay more for shipping with signature confirmation?

As for the neighbor, I went around that same evening the tracking showed as being delivered. I didn't ask them why they didn't bring it around to me or if they were going to keep it.

Just think about it for a moment, too. There are a lot of unscrupulous people out there. If all it takes to get another order sent to you even when delivery confirmation shows it as being delivered, how many do you think will scam the system? Of course, some of the major retailers out there can well afford to send another up to a point. But not all can and do. Your issue is with the carrier.

I do not live in a place where I feel comfortable going knocking on doors of people I do not know asking them if they have my mail. That is absurd.
