I don't understand that policy. I would think that as long as your flex pays are able to be paid each and every month from your account--it makes no sense. I could see if your flex pays were not being paid on a timely basis and then it would be a concern. My easy pays are deducted from my debit card each month. I have never had a problem with QVC. Maybe it is time to reconsider your business with HSN.

This is one of the reasons I like QVC customer service. They will always solve the problem. I don't buy much from HSN I don't like their CS.

Are you sure it is a limit on the flex pays and not the limit on your credit card? I believe that while you are not charged for the full amount of the purchase when using flex pay, the credit card company is notified of the full amount. They may be the ones stopping further charges.

No, I have plenty of available credit on my card. The CS specifically told me that I had too many flex pays.

I can see why they would limit the amount of Flex Pays as it is a huge liablity to them ..Easy Pay etc..should be limited..I have read time and time again where people get in over their heads with them. Not that it applies to everybody but they cannot pick and choose so they do a blanket policy.
Especially if funds are limited and tight and a flex payment hits twice in the same month depending on the CC billing cycle..then you hear the complaining about overdraft fees etc.
I think it is a nice tool for purchasing big ticket items that may not work out and you are only out x amount of dollars until the refund..but when you take a fifty dollar item well....

I had no idea HSN limited the number of items you could have outstanding at one time on flexpay. But it does make sense.
I work for a law firm and we handle a lot of probate. I cannot tell you the number of people who die and have outstanding payments due to all the shopping channels and many times they aren't paid.

I would agree if they didn't use Flex-Pays as an advertising tool. All they say all day is how you can get it home for a certain price. For QVC, if you use Express to submit an order online, it automatically puts you on Flex-Pays. Either they want them or they don't.

Flex pay on HSN is just a way to purchase something without committing to full price.
FlexPay is NOT the default payment option! the default is SINGLE PAYMENT of purchase price!
at times if i wanted flexpay rather than full payment, i had to quit out of an order, and go back and select flexpay
you can always go in and a manage the flexpays. its up to the consumer to evaluate their budget.
