I would most definitely say that your mom and Mimi were working together to find you Peaches and don't worry, everything will be fine. It's the anticipation that's getting you anxious about Sunday.

Yes, Bambi was my heart. We went through so much together, before and after my husband was in the picture. She was an old soul and I know she was sent to me by guardian angels at a very traumatic time in my life in 1991. And, when she was gone, I was just lost. Fortunately, dh understood because he felt the same way when Sophie and Ashley passed. They were his girls. He is a dog person, but because of Bambi he has learned how unique living with a cat(s) can be and one of them, Tabitha, talks to him at night and goes in his bedroom with him, talking all the time, like Ashley used to do. Cute!

Like your little Mimi, Bambi will be with me forever and loving her has allowed me to love the 5 cats we have now. When dh brought them home that day in the box - the mom and the 4 tiny kittens, I just reacted and took them in.

I did not realize you were in CA. I was thinking back east or midwest. I am grateful for the weather we are having, but this summer when it is 120 I will be in envy of everyone north and east of AZ.

I went into the garage today and there sat a little tabby that I had not seen before. She/he was wearing a collar with a bell. Very shy. I could just scream thinking that it's new neighbors, etc with that "indoor/outdoor" attitude. Well, if it gets scared, it now knows where there is a garage door that it can slip under for safety.

That's great about you getting your SS and that's a decent amount to start with. CA has a higher cost of living than AZ. I see where your new governor is going to be cutting back on the state medical so I hope you get the services you need in spite of that. The foodstamps won't buy much, but it all adds up.
