Is This A New Trend In Food Pricing?

I went to the Stop & Shop in Wareham, Massachusetts and the store had bananas for sale at two different prices. The ripe ones sold for $.69 per pound and the unripe ones sold for $.99 per pound! {#emotions_dlg.ohmy} Anything over $.49 per pound is ridiculous anyway.
