Iodine treatment for overactive thyroid in cat

My Oreo is 16 years old. We've been dealing with overactive thyroid for a couple of years. We've tried pill, liquid and transdermal. It is not helping her thyroid. Looks like our option now is the Iodine Treatment. Has anyone else had this done for their kitty? I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
