Has anyone received seed packets in the mail from what is thought to be from China? Our local news is telling people to not plant them because they expect invasive species of plants. We have been asked to report any unsolicited mail like that, and some pieces include jewelry, to Smuggling Interdiction and Trade Compliance Program (SITC) by calling the Smuggling Hotline at 1-800-877-3835. Recipients are asked to leave everything inside the package to help investigators trace the origin.
Officials believe the shipments are "part of a brushing scam where shippers send out low-cost items at their own expense in order to rank higher on e-commerce sites."
"Brushing helps the seller create a more legitimate appearance to their profiles," the department said.
Does bad news ever end?

I have not, but this was discussed here the other day and know others have.
Someone here also noted not to put them in the trash as they would end up in the land fill. Maybe someone can say how to destroy them so they cause no harm.

I have not been following this closely, but am puzzled that the postmark is not definitive. What are we missing?
