Introducing A New Family Member

I don't think I have ever posted before on the Pet Lovers Forum so, hello to everyone. I have a female cat who is 6 and rescued and a rabbit not sure of the age who is a rescue as well. On Saturday evening upon returning from a visit with my parents there was a cat laying on the steps of my neighbors house except no one lives there. She was crying to loud and she just kept crying. I told my husband to go in and get her some food and water. I gave it to her and bless her heart she inhaled it as fast as she could. I told my husband that we couldn't leave her out there all night because she would freeze but we couldn't bring her in the house either because of our other furbabies. We did the best we could and put her a warm bed with food and water in our shop. She was comfortable for the night.

I have attempted to find her a home but to no avail so, on Tuesday I took her to the vet to make sure she was ok. I did notice she had ear mites really bad and a cold. Off to the vet we went and she cried the entire trip. I'm thinking she thought that she was going to be dropped again....so sad. The vet gave me meds for the ear mites and an antibiotic for the cold and she is feeling a little better. Oh, she only weighs 6.9 lbs and is 8 years old. They did a blood test to make sure she didn't have feline leukemia which her tests came back normal...thank goodness.

I am going to give her a bath today and get her a collar and finally bring the girl in the house. My question is ...finally...how do I go about introducing her to my other cat? Will they use the same litter box? Should their feeding times be the same for both cats and do I need to keep them separated when they eat? I'm sorrry if the questions sound stupid but I just want to be a little prepared at least for the worst so if it doesn't happen I won't be dissapointed. If anyone has any other advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
