Recently Angelina Jolie was hailed as some sort of hero or trailblazer or whatever when she had both breasts removed because of her positive BRCA1 test.

Years ago, Suzanne Sommers actually had breast cancer and chose alternative therapies for which she has been considered a quack.

I'm glad both of these ladies are doing well and that they were able to make their own choices and that they each had the courage of their convictions. It's interesting, though, how differently they've been perceived because of their choices.
