What a silly thing to say. You seem more emotional than the OP.
I don't find annabellethecat's comment to be silly considering the way the OP was written...especially when she asked what the point was because the OP was somewhat vague and full of abbreviations.
````````````````````````````````````
She KNEW.
I think CNN shut down on this story shortly after FOX. I was switching between the 2 channels. FOX had political stuff on and CNN was talking about Russia, Kennedy, and Kruzchev (sorry, don't remember how to spell this Russian Presidents name).
While I am against abortion, I would never condone what this guy did. It was murder. He took the law into his own hands and ended lives. He deserves to spend the rest of his life paying for that crime. I am sickened by what he did. I don't know if he is mentally ill, on drugs, or just hates abortion. None of these were excuses for what he did.
I hate abortion too, but never would I feel like these people should have been killed. I have to be honest. Never would I feel like these babies have to be aborted either. I guess you could say....I am all for preserving lives not taking them.
I find this to be a very rude respose.
How would you like it if you got these kinds of replies the next time you post another epistle about not geting a $3 shipping charge removed?
I think it is very strange indeed that the hostage situation did not get significant air time.
lol I had to laugh at that statement because that poster should remember what she posts on here before she starts another thread. She's inconsistent on what she says here on the boards. She says one thing and then says another just the opposite of what she said first.
This is again one of those threads,that some posters should just NOT COMMENT ON, people were killed, don't you even feel bad at all?
So then I got curious and have scouted out some news websites,,,Drudge Headline: Black Friday mayhem, people fighting over bargains; NY Post: shooting at bottom of page; WaPo and NYT - top story; HuffPo - top story; Breitbart & The Blaze - top story
If this man was named Mohammed - he would have already been labeled as a terrorist.
Considering the age, ethnic background and gender of the shooter - he most likely will be declared insane.
Just my guess...
BTW - 33,000 people die each year in the USA from guns. I'd love to see picketers at a gun manufacturing facility. We have no problem considering another ME war over the Paris incident (some potential leaders are calling for it ASAP)- why not the same outrage and attention over what is happening right here, year in and year out???
No need to try to spin this into something it isn't. The statement about the guy's age, coupled with the Mohammed statement, sound rather stereotypical.
Moderators, why aren't these gun control statements considered a controversial or political topic here?
More than a PP issue, once again we have a mental health issue apparently - not just in Colorado, but also with the White House fwence jumper.
I am so pessimistic about our ability to provide for the mentally ill, to protect them from themselves and us from them.
And I'm beyond saddened by the loss of lives as well as the loss of any sense of safety as these incidents play out over and over.
@terrier3So sorry for you as you face your personal loss. I do assume that loss makes yesterday's news more difficult for you than for me. I get an extra degree of separation that you don't have,
"No need to spin this into something it isn't" ...
That's EXACTLY the attitude I'm seeing. Same with the guy who shot the waitress - just call him insane and move on.
And shut down dialogue.
Thanks...you proved my point.
