I have a bird on the right that I can not find on any website or book. It is between a wren and a blue jay. Any help on what it is? Definitely not a baby blue jay and not a wren. We have lots of adult blue jays every day.

I also have a squirrel with a beautiful white tail. The black squirrel also had a half white tail but must have been in a fight as half of the white is gone. I see the group waiting for their treats every morning.
Never saw white tails on squirrels and we just as many black squirrels as grey ones. We live in upstate NY.

Thanks.

There are many types of jays.  We have solid blue "stellar's

jays" here in NM and I've seen gray ones in Canada.  It looks like a jay.  It could be a variety of scrub jay.

Love the black squirrel! We only have gray ones here in the South (GA).

ITA w/Kachina.  Looks like a scrub jay.

What a bunch of cute babies!   Smiley Happy   My squirrel babies don't come around in the cold weather.  I miss them.  Smiley Sad  Even my little mousies stopped coming out to see me, but I know a few places to stash peanuts for them so nobody else gets them.

The black squirrel is so handsome!  We have red ones and grey ones here.

They are in my backyard as I type, burying walnuts!

@KingstonsMom  I have all three.  Red Squirrels are destructive and mean. The Black Squirrels like the hardwood trees like Oak for Acorns. They have different eyes than grey, piercing.

Doesn't look like any of my nutthaches. They are mostly grey. I live in WV and this looks like it's in the Bluejay family.
