We back the badge.  Sure like in ALL professions/vocations there is a bad egg or two but the most on the whole are great !  America stands strong for all the great ones we produce.

Re: In light of current events

I loved listening to Paul Harvey, & so many of his broadcasts are still relevant in todays age.  His father was a policeman who died when Paul was 3 I believe

Sorry forgot to add, a dear friend of mine worked for Angel, his wife, Paul kept her on after Angel passed, & his son kept her on when Paul passed, she firmly believes they are such "good" people & is so grateful she still has her job, just goes to know that those kind of people do exist in our world today!

Thank you for posting this, raven.  No, there will never be a profession where everyone always does the right thing.  In this case, I believe the good far outweigh the bad. It is heartbreaking to me to see what is happening!

I also miss that calming and reassuring voice.....

Re: In light of current events

What I always liked about Paul Harvey and his pieces is.........he always got to the "meat" of the matter in a logical well thought out manner........ there were times in the "hysteria" he saw another angle, most everyone overlooked.....and when you watched his broadcast, it was an "ah hah".....he brought clarity to issues and events....never really politically correct, but always done with respect to all sides...............raven

How very true this is.  Leave it to Paul Harvey.  Sure wish he was still around.
