I was using a new to me nail product and I was wondering where it's made. It just said PRC. I knew before I even googled it that it was The People's Republic of China. I avoid most things like Skechers, etc. I guess they'll be using PRC now. If you could care less, please just don't bawl me out. Child labor comes to mind and I won't change my mind.

I would be concerned about ingredients they may use in the product. No regulation, could use carcinogenic things.

All cosmetics sold here, no matter where they are made, are FDA regulated. That's the law.

I also avoid cosmetics made in China.

@Judaline. Unless you have a huge reserve of shoes, you may be barefoot one of these days. Almost all shoes sold in the US are made in China, including those you may already own.

@SilleeMee It doesn't mean a thing because really how much of this stuff is really inspected? What would that cost and how long will it take.
If it kills a few people, they might take a look. If it kills people in 10 or 20 years the ROC doesn't care.

@Kachina624 I don't know. I'm a pretty good detective! I think I could find some. I have lots of shoes and some are pretty old. I really think I could make do with what I've got, if it becomes necessary. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

For me when I use polish, or nail care. I use Butter, Deborah Lippmann mail products. Although Butter used to be made in London, it is now made in USA as is Deborah Lippmann. They are both 4 free, cruelty free and DL is vegan. I find these polishes are saturated, don't chip as much, if at all, the colors unique. Lasts as well in a dark, cooler spot for a few years. I am using one color now that I bought 4 yrs ago. Don't make color anymore, but I love it

The FDA samples roughly 1% of the imported products they oversee.
I don't buy any MIC mu products, either.
