I was watching my local news  tonight, and there was a story where the police want residents to let them know who is setting off illegal fireworks, and where. You know the kind, the kind that shoots up into the air, and rivals the professional kind.

Yeaaaah, nnnooo.

I park on the street, and don't need my car vandalized, or a rock thrown through my window, or to be accosted.

Have you, or would you report someone setting off illegal fireworks?

@Anonymous032819 I'm in CA where fire danger is a big concern.  In my county, even the smallest violation for fireworks is a $1000 fine.  I don't think there's any sort of reward for reporting someone.  I would report someone if I felt there was a fire risk.

YES

YES.

Where I live all fireworks are illegal but that doesn't mean we don't have specialty fireworks stores that sell them or thousands who set them off.

Year to date we have a 10 inch deficit of rain, we're in a drought, but no local agency has banned them so far this year.  Crazy.

Indeed I would.  They don't have any way of knowing who reported them.  Beats having your house burned down.

I would definitely report them & if I could find/catch them I would light one & stick it on them where the sun doesn’t shine .... that should teach them 😂🤣

They'd have to get them from another source because they are not sold in my state.

There are only a few that use fireworks in my neighborhood, and I wouldn't know if what they are using is illegal or not.  None are set off close to my house and I won't be running around outside to see if any are illegal.

PHX has finally outlawed aerial fireworks.    I am on a cliff, and the people below fired skyrockets for any occasion; their team scored or whatever.    The displays were right in front of my windows, and the chaff landed in my yard.    I was scared out of my wits........

Re: your earlier thread.........in addition to the heat, wind, and smog.....we now have SMOKE from the fires.    It's probably headed in your direction.....waaaaaay uphill.....   di
