I got my Vitamix about 2 weeks ago but was unable to unpack it until now--it was on waitlist. So I unpacked it tonight and I'm wondering if it was a return because the cord wasn't exactly neat underneath it and I wasn't sure how to undo it, - I did finally get it out but then I was reading the cookbook because the disc is in my player and it's not playing and it seems to have disappeared inside the player because it doesn 't read it and I ejected the tray and NO DISC- is in the tray!! I took a flashlight and can't see it- I put another disc in and it plays! but the vitamix disc is nowhere in sight ( that's another problem though-) What I need to know is if your vitamixer was already assembled when you got it because in the cookbook that came- it gives instructions on how to use the wrench to assemble the blades etc. and I don't have a wrench--- it's already put together says you have to buy a wrench but even so- the blades are already assembled. SO WHAT DO you think about this? No wrench, cord messy, Returned unit or not? Can't call CS yet- but this is really making me nuts. ANYONE got an answer? ALSO does your unit lock tight on the base- mine has "wiggle room".

As I'm reading cleaning instructions in the cookbook it gives complicated instructions for cleaning-- can't you just wash the container with water and soap in the sink like a regular blender container if you're just doing something like smoothies? I can see if I was grinding meat or so but is it necessary every time you make a smoothie/ I mean I don't even know if I'm keeping this depending on if it's a return someone else used yet, but I do want a replacement if it was. TIA p.s. any ideas where the dvd disappeared to and how to get it out?
