I got more than $1000 from the several stimulus payments issued by the federal governments. Though it wasn't restricted as to how to use it, I banked it for rainy day money and I'd do the same again with this hypothetical.

Lately some actual rainy days have revealed my roof and skylight need attention. I'm very glad I put the money away until needed. Time to call a roofer!

Saving a windfall amount is a good mindset. There's nothing like the relief of being secure with money when bad times hit.

I don't know if this will count, as it's not specifically for me, but it's what "me" would like.....I would like to call professionals to come and clean and seal our brick pavers.  They're beautiful, and I want them to stay that way, so I would like to have the professionals come and do whatever maintenance needs to be done.

Honestly, $1000 would not buy what I need.  I do not need any  small "stuff" ,but, rather big  expensive things like new kitchen appliances.  I probably would put it towards that.

Spend a week at my favorite casino, rent a cabana for 3 days, get a full spa treatment.  What is left over will pay for the dog kennel.

I'll eat, drink & gamble w/casino comp $$$$.  My $$$ will be used for "tips."

Okay...so something frivolous.  I'd have upper leg laser hair removal bilaterally.  I had my lower legs done about 14 years ago and they are marvelous.
