Amazon reviews are not medical advice and Carditone is produced by the unregulated supplement industry. If carcinogens got into regulated medication, I shudder to think at what might be found in supplements.

@phoenixbrd wrote:@proudlyfromNJ After repeated trips to the ER years ago, my pharmacist suggested it might be the blood pressure med. I started looking for more natural methods of controlling my blood pressure. After researching and finding over 700 reviews on Carditone on Amazon, I tried it. (as well as many other natural methods - my lifestyle diet and exercise were already in place). The Carditone saved my life. This was some time ago and I no longer need to take it but I periodically check my blood pressure as it was extremely high. I live a med free life today.
I know many people would rather take a prescription (and, of course "talk to your doctor" ...Carditone is prescribed by many wholistic physicians), but after reading about recalls and first hand experience with the continuing devastating effects of doctor prescribed blood pressure medication, I feel an obligation to share. I do not give medical advice, only sharing my experience. Best of health to you.
My DH switched to Carditone for his BP and it has worked great. He only takes one a day. I agree that many people would rather take a Rx/drug. I have never understood that way of thinking, but that is me. I felt the need to share our experience also.

@shoekitty wrote:Online news CNN had a warning about checking the valsartan high blood pressure med that was recalled last month. They have discovered on some batches another possible carcinogen. Please check news, or simply google Valsartan recall with todays date.
I am calling my doctor tomorrow. They changed me to valsartan that was not in one of the recalled manufacturers. But, now that may not be okay.
Wow, I'm really sorry to read this! Valsartan works perfectly for me with absolutely no side effects. I tried the natural approaches for years, with no success. I'm already active, eat healthy and have never been overweight in my life. But HBP runs in my family, and mine was elevated for years before I broke down and tried a Rx drug. My Valsartan manufacturer was not part of the previous recall. I'm hoping it's not part of the current recall, but I sure appreciate the heads-up @shoekitty.
OK, I just checked the CNN article, and my Valsartan isn't made by that manufacturer. Reading the entire article carefully, it isn't the active ingredient in Valsartan that is a carcinogen, it's other substances that some manufacturers have allowed to get into the medicine. Sloppy manufacturing practices. Given my family history of strokes and heart attacks, I'll keep taking this med that works so well for me.
"On Thursday, the FDA said that three lots of the drugs made by Torrent Pharmaceuticals were contaminated with a second impurity, N-Nitrosodiethylamine, or NDEA, which is also a suspected human carcinogen."

I have been on Carditone for about 10 years. I had very high blood pressure and with walking daily and taking carditone my blood pressure is very good now. Adding Carditone to my walking regime, My blood pressure is amazing! Even at the doctors office. No side effects taking this, or worries about it being made in China with cancer causing additives like most phamacutical drugs these days.

@Alison Wonderland It works for me and many other people.

Yes, there are articles that are online about this! This broke in the news not that long ago but was kind of kept low key which doesn't surprise me with "big pharma" . I've warned family members. Losartan is another blood pressure med that is suspect as well.

My blood pressure runs high. I hate bp meds and fought it for years, i tried everything, finally relented when BP was running 160/80. In the dr's office it was higher, lol! Valsartan worked for me without all the noticable side effects. I was taking the valsartan from the toxic manufacturer. They switched distributers, and now instead of 160mg, I take 2/80 mg tablets. My husband's valsartan was switched to losartan. I am going to change mine. I hate this. Whats the use of taking a darn medication if it going to poison you to death. Geesh. I am 71, and 10 lbs from perfect weight. I eat organic and healthy. I dont eat meat, gmo foods. Lots of veggies, fish and sometimes chicken. Even when I get fish, I order from Alaska and get troll caught certified clean.
has anyone taken beetroot for blood pressure.

I didn't try beetroot, but the most expensive useless thing I did try was Resparate, the device/kit that leads you in breathing exercises. I used the thing religiously, and it only lowered my BP for a few minutes right after I did the breathing. The goal was that your body gradually accommodated itself, and you would have lower BP all day. I stuck with it way beyond the point where this was supposed to happen, with no improvement whatsoever. I think that was the point at which I finally asked my doctor for a prescription. My mom was the same - slim, fit lady who tried all sorts of natural approaches to reduce her BP. I particularly remember when she was taking Garlique, lol. Eventually she took a prescription med, because nothing else worked.

I would be worried if I was taking any doctor prescribed blood pressure med.
We are not going to change one another's mind. I wish the best of health to all of us! ![]()
