"Our Miss Brooks," an early sitcom (early 50s) in reruns when I was in school in NYC in the 1970s. Eve Arden was the star; I always admired her dry sense of humor and spunky attitude.

I liked her dresses and accessories; she dressed well on a teacher's salary. Guess she saved on rent money by rooming with Mrs. Davis. Hope you were not adversely affected by Hurricane Irma.

Hi @deepwaterdotter! I have just gotten my phone and internet services back after two weeks. I had no power for about 10 days.
We had a lot of mini-tornados that tore out trees and damaged power lines--but we saw nothing of the terrible wind they got in Marathon and Big Pine Key. All is well now.
I am worried about how Puerto Rico is going to recover. They pay US taxes but somehow don't seem to be on the US radar screen. They got a little of Irma but the brunt of Maria.

How about you? What show would you be in?
I love Lucy, I love the idea of having friends that you can do anything with. I would love to have neighbors like them. The friend ship between the 4 of them is so much fun to watch. Plus I love the clothes in that time period.

Challenging question!
I would love to be in Downton Abbey. Either servant or royalty, don't even care
I have a little Julie Sugarbaker in me. I've perfected the polite insult. You know the kind, you don't know you've been insulted until you think about it!
But I think #1 would be Mad Men. I love the time of history. I would love to live in one of those fabulous apartments in Manhattan with a doorman. (I don't want to live with the doorman, I need grammer lessions) I started my career in the early 1970s and while we have come a long way, baby, I somewhat long for those loosey goosey days of 2 martini lunches, etc. No one in Manhattan drives, so no designated driver necessary! I would be Peggy or Joan.

I would love to play Poldarks wife on Pbs. Her name is Esmeralda?
