My favorite time of the year.  When the air gets cooler and I get all excited 

about decorating my house for fall and then for Christmas .  I actually start 

To feel more alive in the cool weather!!!!  Yea for FALL!!!!

It's official, Fall has arrived.  We've seen the last of the muggy weather and the last of those 80 and 90 degree days.  At last!  It was chilly this morning, around 50 when I left for work.  It was good to slip into my leather jacket once again and I switched to my black Roma 2 bag.  I swear, it felt like I was reconnecting with a couple of old friends....lol   They say it will be 70ish by the afternoon but I'm doubtful about that.  I always get a kick out of people watching on these early Fall days.  You see people dressed for every type of weather....and it's all appropriate because it's often cold at 6am, cool at 10am and quite warm by 2pm.  And then it's chilly again at 6pm.  So, this morning, I saw women in leather jackets and knee high boots and plaid skirts with tights.  I also saw women in their maxi dresses and sandals with a sweater for warmth.  And a few hardy types in capris, thong sandals and tank tops.  I'm somewhere in the middle.  I chose a long sleeve white tee with jeans and sandals but I wore my leather jacket and I tucked a big scarf in my bag.  I am ready for anything...lol

It is starting to get cool here in SW Pa and the trees are starting to turn so it's time for these Floridans to head back home. We are leaving the first week on Oct. I am anxious to be home again. Normally we see the color on the trees changing as we go through the mountains of West Va and Va on our trip home and that is enough fall for us. 

I am always happy to give up life in a camper and go back to my house , my dishwasher, my washer and dryer and my bathtub. Ah the comforts of home!

It's such a gorgeous Fall day today!

Thanks to God I survived the summer here in S. Louisiana.  It's been wicked! I have to admit I wa almost praying to get through it, and to be able to open a door in the morning and feel some fresh, dryeer, cooler air.  It's going to be about 87 here today, but at least it's not 97.  Ready for October - my very favorite month of the year,
