John Boehner. I would tell him to lay on that beach for a few hours and you can get a real tan.

At first I thot there would be too many to choose...parents, friends, historical figures...but @Buck-i-Nana 's post (one of the most beautiful, tender sentiments I've ever read) got me thinking about the feel and intimacy of a person's nearness...the smell of them, their beating heart close to mine...and the person who came to mind was my paternal grandmother.  And I would do what Buck-i-Nana would do...just breathe in her presence.

Last night, when I turned out the light, I snuggled close to Handsome, just to feel his warmth and his heartbeat...his warmth is what I would miss the most...and thanked G-d for Buck-i-Nana's post.

Thank you MacDuff and I'm glad my post resulted in your snuggling with Handsome.  I pray you take every opportunity to drink him in.

Thanks to all who shared such heartfelt thoughts.  Just a thought, as we each shared here, we actually did get to spend just a little more time with the loved one we're missing.

@Buck-i-Nana  As I sat here reading all the posts and wiping my eyes so I could see the screen, I had the same thought.  Yes, you indeed did spend some time with each one of your loved ones today.  Additionally, I would advise everyone to remember this bench scene and realize you can always go back.

@MacDUFF   This is the most touching thread I have ever seen on these boards. The love and sorrow shared in these posts are palpable.
