No links here 😏 - but today only, Amazon Prime membership is $67 instead of $99. It says "new members", but apparently those who are current Prime members can "gift" themselves and others with the lower price.

This is in effect until midnight PST.

Is Downton Abby free on Prime?

Are there good shows/movies free or just duds?

Thank you for posting this @Moonchilde!  I had been to Amazon today but hadn't noticed that.  I've been wanting to join Prime but didn't want to pay $99.  The $67 may get me to join today.

How can I "gift" myself?  I just tried & it still shows the $99 rate.  Sorry if it's a dumb question.  I'm not tech-savvy.  thanks

@Moonchilde

So in other words, as a Prime Member I can "gift myself" a $67 Amazon Prime Membership which would go into effect at renewal?

I checked and didn't see it.. probably because I signed in with my Prime account.

Well, bummer!  I'd love to get that deal.

Re: Amazon Prime

[ Edited ]

@DoneTryin and @Funloving, I'm not sure about regifting, but according to the info about the $67 it says that it will show $99 when you enter it in your cart.  It will change to $67 at checkout.

Oops. It appears as though Amazon has decided to close their loophole. As recently as yesterday, Amazon was saying that current members could indeed gift themselves, but this morning they have removed that option. I found all of this on a website that did *extensive* checking with Amazon in advance to be sure they were giving out correct info. But as of this morning, no-go for current Prime members. Probably because word got around and too many people were using that option. Sorry 😔

But gifting a new membership is still an option as far as I know.

Downton Abbey is available, though I don't think guaranteed that all seasons are available all the time.
