I was specifically talking about my experience with a brand of toilet paper. I don't see an ingredient deck on the label. The label does warn of possible suffocation and to keep it away from children.

No ingredients listed though

yeah, those types of things aren't required to have an ingredient labels. They don't use preservatives (which this particular ingredient we are discussing is)  in toilet paper though- it doesn't go bad or spoil.

Re: If You Are Experiencing Skin Rash

@butterfly123, I'm so glad you were able to determine your problem.  Sounds like another miserable ordeal.

After tossing my "natural" laundry detergent, I replaced it with a "Free and Clear" mainstream brand. It does NOT have the ingredients on the label, and so far, I'm not able to find them online, either. I'm going to check out powders, rather than liquids, because I'm presently having a relatively minor, but itchy and swollen, flare-up. And I've discovered MI is in some dental products.  There's no end to it!

@OooLaLa

Quite a few people on the board like Nellie's detergent and the ingredient deck is available online.

Re: If You Are Experiencing Skin Rash

Just checked my shampoo, conditioner, eye cream, moisturizer and makeup remover-all made by the same brand and happy to say this ingredient isn't on the deck.

Is it just natural and organic products that use this?

I've never had a reaction to natural or organic---thankfully!  Hard for me to buy otherwise.

No, not at all.   Check out the NIH link on my original post.  Glad you haven't had problems and hope you never do!

@Lucky Charm

Not necessarily.

Read your labels carefully, as it is in more than just personal care items. HTH

Re: If You Are Experiencing Skin Rash

Thank you so much for posting about this.  I think this is also what I am going thru.  I had a patch on my ankle that got infected and had to have meds for it and now I have another patch on my thigh that started as an itch and I am trying so hard to not touch it.

I just check Philosophy shower gels that I use and they had this ingredient along with my shampoo and I am sure a lot of the other products I use also.

Why are manufacturers in this country allowed to poison us for profit?  I also have those garden clogs that QVC sells that are washable.  I am wondering if these are also a problem.
