Reputable reports are that there was no suicide note. As for his being lonely, that's not necessarily the case. People kill themselves for all sorts of reasons. For some it is physical or psychic pain, shame over some misdeed, unintended as with Philip Seymour Hoffman taking a accidental mix of drugs, or mental illness as in psychosis. Loneliness is a risk factor but not always the cause. I have to wonder if the thought of what lay ahead with the Parkinsons disease played a role.

What a tragedy this is...
I once knew someone who committed suicide once he found out he had MS.

I think it's time to move on. The man committed suicide because he didn't want to live anymore. R.I.P.
