If I could turn back time...

I've put in "Song of Bernadette" needing to go back in time today. I'm a bit overwhelmed, depressed, worried, I'd say stressed but it's more anxious. Just life coming at me with both barrels. I have plenty to be grateful for, but a lot on my "mind plate", so to speak. I know I'm not alone in this and others are worse off today than I am. I just need a breather of not thinking. I'll grab my book out too. Things will get better.

Hope others going through this rides out the storm in their lives today too. I think of the tornado victims and hope and pray they're doing ok today too.

Good luck all.

Yes, we all feel this way sometimes, qualitygal. Some call it taking a "mental health day" and it can be every bit as vital as eating healthy and exercising. Hoping yours brings you much peace.

I feel awful for the tornado victims, too. Prayers for their strength to carry them through the devastation and beyond.

Some days it just comes at you full bore, but things usually get better. I look at it that there are always people who have it worse off.

I know how you feel. I just try to take it one day at a time.

Anytime before 2005. My father would be alive then.

Glad you all posted. I'm really struggling with a totally unexpected loss, and somehow it's a comfort to know that there are others who feel as I do. I'm with you all in spirit.....

Re: If I could turn back time...

qualitygal,

So many times many of us have wished we could turn back the clock, I know I have, but just hang on and take a day at a time. The good days will eventually outweigh the bad, it always does. I can always find someone worse off than I am. Many of us have lost children, but then I remembered a friend that lost both of his, how he carries on I do not know. Try to find something to keep your mind off your troubles and this will pass and better days will be ahead. It's difficult but often I have to stop myself and count my blessing and the rest seems much lighter.

Violann ((hugs)) sorry for your recent loss, the unexpected takes time. I think we go through the "what if's" but it doesn't change a thing. We may never understand but stay strong and things will get better.

Hi Quality. I wish I had some magical pixie dust to toss your way. A wise pastor once told me to relax more about life and stop overthinking life. I had a tendency to think life should be heaven on earth, but it isn't. Not at all. Better days ahead. Have a beautiful tomorrow.
