Wow, I just couldn't believe this. An 8 year old boy was murdered when he tried to defend/save his 12 year old sister from a sexual assault while they were outdoors playing. The assailant is 16 and has been apprehended. The girl is alive but details about her condition are not being released. I read this yesterday and have felt so bad and then I saw a picture of him . . . Cutest little thing, I do not know what to make of people. I hope that loser gets tried as an adult. I think it happened in Virginia, I just don't know what to say, the poor parents.

Such a sweet-looking, brave young man. It's a tragedy.

The attacker is 16 and has been charged with murder and strangulation. Hopefully the authorities will charge him as an adult.

I think that she is actually older made it more sad. Many kids would have understandably run away but that he looked so small and tried to help just makes it worse.
