The water supply problems are at crisis points in many areas, and will be at crisis point soon in more.

We don't have unlimited water supplies but we didn't take care to protect them and now we're beginning to pay the price. Sadly, it's going to get worse.

They're at the point now of turning off water in the city for much of the public land.

I hope that includes the lush golf courses, especially on public land.

My son said many of the owners of big homes in Montecito are having water trucked in to water their lawns and gardens.

Hi tansy......I think I would be more concerned about the ground around the foundation of home than I would be about my lawn and garden......

Where are they getting the water from to fill up those trucks??????

Hi Noel - There are going to be a lot of water conservation measures that will be hard for some to accept, and they'll try to find ways around it.

We have had some mild drought summers when lawn watering was restricted to certain days.

Sure enough, there were people who just couldn't do the right thing and would water their backyards on "off" days, hoping not to get caught.

Those kind of people make me angry.

I remember the first of three CA droughts I've lived through. The issue then was those who insisted in keeping their swimming pools up to standard.

I wonder where the truckers are getting the water.

I just asked that very same question. LOL

Oh no! Now that IS a tragedy. (ha-ha joke).

Actually my bil just got back from a vacation to wine country and he said they are in good shape with the grapes.

I don't know how I feel about that {#emotions_dlg.mellow}

Does your son know where they're getting the water?

Re: If California needs water........

Probably because restrictions haven't become mandatory in all areas of California. Yet.

To the OP, I know you were trying to make a joke but to many in California, the ongoing drought isn't a laughing matter. Yeah, we'd LOVE to have your rain. Unfortunately, it's not possible and severe restrictions on water usage will be upcoming unless things change drastically.

I find that totally irresponsible and outrageous. Wait until there is no more water to drink; and it will happen. Taps have run dry already in some areas; these people who treasure material things over the well-being of others - I can't even begin to register my anger.
