Does anyone know how to check to see if anyone has attempted to steal your identity? I have been having some anxiety regarding a dishonest relative who might attempt this. TIA

Get copies of your credit report from the 3 credit companies. I'm not sure how you do it, but you can have your credit report frozen. Once it's frozen, new credit can't be opened unless the freeze is removed.

A million times YES to Life Lock! They will keep up with your credit reports and scores for you. They recently even alerted me that a seksual offender had moved into our area... Hard news to hear with a granddaughter about to begin school, but better to be aware than not.

I just found out yesterday that someone used my credit card number without my authority. The bank caught it and notified me. I am in possession of my card, so the number was ripped off from somewhere!! I felt so violated and was thankful that I never use my debit card anymore! Thank goodness the charges were not allowed, but it was "used" at two places that I would never go to do business. Thank you Bank!! New credit card on the way. I also would like to know how to put a freeze on credit reports and have been considering Life Lock too!!
