Ice-mageddon 2012!!!

This is the first time I've ever experienced an actual ice storm. The governor has declared a state of emergency so the National Guard can be called in.

I tried to measure the snow on my deck but I couldn't get the yardstick past the ice layer about two inches down. Wow! And about 200,000 people--so far--without power. It sounds like it'll be a few days till we get back to normal and now they're talking about round 2 in 7-10 days.
