Re: ISIS seems to have hacked CentCom's Twitter

Anonymous has posted the twitter accounts of jihadists and jihad sites on Pastebin. There are also letters to the "citizens of the world" about their actions in response to the murders at Charlie Hebdo.

ETA adelle, I can't see the last box of the comic.

My question is...Why does CentCom have a Twitter Account in the first place?

I was wondering that myself.

Phase two of #OpCharlieHebdo awaits. We will be releasing Jihad Facebook user profiles soon.

ETA new news about Anonymous from IBT (interesting YouTube video):

Anonymous Hackers target Jihadist twitter accounts and websites. Nine down.

"The hacktivist group known for using its skills for social justice is taking down jihadist websites -- about 10 so far -- in retaliation for the terrorist attacks in Paris last week that left 17 dead. Twelve of those deaths were journalists for the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, and five were customers at a kosher market.

In the campaign dubbed #OpCharlieHebdo, the group took its first victim on Saturday night – crashing jihadist forum Ansar al Haqq and redirecting it to search engine Duck Duck Go.

The forum is still offline as of Monday, and the hacker group named 14 other websites that it will target on Pastebin as part of the #OpCharlieHebdo initiative. Currently, nine of the 14 sites it named have been taken down…"

Good, hack them right back and see how they like it.

Many US Military installations have both a FB & Twitter account - the command posts different things such as - road closures/accidents, ordnance testing (so the residents don't freak out), weather delays/closings, civilian job postings, pictures of MWR events, etc. Similar to how most communities have a FB page or website.

Anonymous is warning jihadists to take down their twitter accounts or they will shut down their servers. Followed by an ominous, "We are watching".

This online "push and shove" between Anonymous and the terrorists is really interesting.

It certainly is. I'm rooting for Anonymous. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Me too. It's so cool (and kinda scary) to be able to witness this virtual combat in real time.

I think things will work themselves out. I'm surprised this thread has lasted this long.

Re: ISIS seems to have hacked CentCom's Twitter

Their threats and disclosure of soldiers' names and addresses is terrible. However, I heard on the news that they posted something on CentCom's account praising ISIS. That's funny because it is so ridiculous to have such a thing on their Twitter feed.
