I went hog wild

First of all, where did the phrase "hog wild" come from? It sounds American to me.

Anyway, I finally sprang for a new Paperwhite, since the kindle I had was older than dirt. And then I bought a "Hello Kitty" cover for it! ("Hello Kitty" is kind of a running joke in my family.

The new one is SO much faster and easier to read than the old one.

I guess I should have said E-reader.

You can buy electronic books at a fairly low price and keep them forever. You can also download books that cost nothing if they're Kindle Unlimited. I have tons of those; once in a while I'll pay full price if it's something I really want but in 99% of cases, I won't pay more than $10 and I'd have to want it pretty bad to pay that kind of money.
