@Nancy Drew  I never did either, and I'm older than you.

It's been my observation that smart comes in all genders, IQ scores, education, occupations.....

@Porcelain -

One of my father's favorite books was "Emotional Intelligence."

I think if someone has that, they have a lot of what they need!

And as to the title of the post-

I think that's a stupid statement!😁

Smarter than what? Wastebaskets? Pigeons? Bacteria?

We don't live in a binary world, and the men I have the privilege of knowing are aware of that and would never post something that assumed the old reality. They're all too smart to post a query like this, and would be too smart to answer it. But I'm just a girl, so I did.

Guess I could consider myself "smart' as I formerly belonged to MENSA (got tired of paying dues).

<shrug> Only thing I'm aware of is soooo many things I don't know!  LOL

Never thought of it as a gender thing.

How do you define "smart", there is book smart, street smart, life smart ect.

Re: I've always thought men are smarter.

I actually always thought that women were smarter than men, in general.

However, these days I don't know.   A lot of female stupid going on out there.

But, despite that brand of stupid (mostly brainwashing), I still think that, in the overall, women are smarter than men.

I get called a smart alek all the time! I usually respond, "rather be a smart aleck than a dumb aleck!" And then duck. Woman Very Happy
