I don't like the time change, it gets dark SO EARLY. 5 pm is too early for darkness.
Maybe if I get up earlier, the day wouldn't seem so short.

We aren't at the shortest daylight until late Dec

I hate this time of year, hate, hate, hate it gets dark so early. I keep the house blazing between the lamps and flameless candles. I also have lights out the side the house that I keep going. I don't like the dark, never have.

I used to be able to walk my beagles at 6:30 (an hr. walk) before I started my day. They need it and it's my main form of exercise. Waking up when it's dark and cold and trying to get motivated is tough. Working from home, I am able to adjust my schedule & we take our walk at 7:30....shower/breakfast by 9 and I'm ready to get in my studio. The early morning is my most productive time, so I lose a little time, but it is what it is....

definitely, waking up earlier will help you look at things a bit differently. I did the change some years ago and for me it worked out.

I ususally wake up at the same time whether it's dark or light out.
What I don't like is that it gets totally dark by 5 pm in the winter and it stays light out until 9 pm in the summer. I wish there would be a happy medium somewhere in between 5 and 9 - LOL

I don’t like this time of year – the cold, dark days, everything being dead or dormant. I came across this quote the other day which I thought was lovely.
"Someone said that God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December." ~ J.M. Barrie

I'm usually up before sunrise all year so I'm pretty much used to the morning darkness.
Being in a CST zone the day gets darker around 6pm or so; that made a difference compared to the dark setting in up north as early as 4-ish.
