The phrase used regularly by hosts and some vendors "I own this" sounds odd to me.

Does anyone say this in conversation regarding something that they have? I don't and I don't think I've ever heard anyone else say that, except for on QVC. It seems most people, and I include myself, say "I have this".

I know I'll get heat for this, that I just can turn the channel, etc. It's a small issue, not something I'd turn the channel over; I just think it's an odd phrase.

What do you think?
