I have made home made dog treats twice in the last week. We really need to watch Hurleys salt intake because of adding the potassium bromide. Hurley being a Siberian Husky can not go without treats - he won't do anything we ask without a bribe. His favorites are usually ham, etc...so that can't happen anymore. We give a good grain free food and try to limit grain in treats but sometimes that is not possible.
I found a recipe for pumpkin peanut butter dog treats, it says it makes 24...roll it out 1/2 inch thick and cut into 1/2 inch squares. OK I use a cup of rolled oats along with 1 1/2 cups of flour to cut down on the wheat content...and I roll it out about 1/3 inch thick. BUT how did I end up with 95 last time and 114 this time?
