I'm wondering....what do YOU think?

My son has invited us to dinner at his place in a couple of weeks. The occasion is for us to meet his girlfriend's parents.

These two have been considering marriage; they're living together now and have been dating for well over a year.

I'm guessing that at this dinner not only will we meet girlfriend's parents but also that an "announcement" will be made. I rather hope so; his girlfriend is a sweetheart and would fit in well, not only with my son but with our family.

Those of you who've been through this: what do you think?
