Six months ago my cat BooBoo underwent surgery for a malignant tumor and it was a long, slow recovery for him. After a few months of his being lethargic with utterly no energy, I took him to his vet who diagnosed him with arthritis. She prescribed a chondroiton supplement for him and he seemed to come back to life: energetic, funny, my own goofy baby boy.

But with all that, he still seemed very timid about jumping or climbing anything. We've tried to encourage him but to no avail.

Recently he's made a few attempts to jump up on the sofa and things like that and even though he's had some success, he still lacked confidence.

Well, this morning I went into the living room and lo and behold! There he was on TOP of his condo, which means he had to climb a pole from floor to nearly the ceiling!

I'm so happy for him I could just bust. It hurt so much to see the change in him, not for the better, in these last six months. Now I feel like Boo has made his last major step in his recovery--not the climbing itself, but the confidence it takes.

If anyone wants to rejoice with me, all are welcome. I love you BooBoo, my beloved baby boy kitty cat! {#emotions_dlg.wub}
